In a surprising partnership that challenges usual forecasts, the game developer has announced an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.

Strange Questline Disclosed

According to the authorized statement, "An unusual meeting pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where rumors of banned practices and terrifying changes echo through the obscurity." The narrative presents a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a hidden cult.

The mission concentrates on "strange trials and a terrifying adversary" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Metamorphoses

The trailer showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer ends with a striking moment showing a character, likely the captive, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Bonus Material

Players who successfully complete the mission will acquire an unique katana in addition to several items concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
